Woo!

I just edited my blog layout and even changed the code and everything! It was a fun little exercise for my brain since I know next to nothing about html, and now the blog is a happy color to boot. Sure, it didn't help in the slightest with the task of reading up to page 183 of Pedagogy of the Oppressed, but...it was fun.

In other news...why oh why am I a good cook, even whipping up a very successful loaf of challah from scratch last week, yet I can't make rice?! I've lamented this to so many people, people whose greatest culinary adventures include Rice-a-Roni, and inevitable they say Geez, even I can make rice. Tonight I made this amazing Thai grilled chicken recipe, all was well, and then....another huge pot full of mushy, crappy rice. I guess I've found my kryptonite.
