A new milestone

In short, I decided that not knowing anyone was a crappy reason not to get to go out, so when I saw that Metric was playing at the Trocadero, I resolved to get past my nervousness and go to a show solo. And you know what? It was a resounding success! I got chatty with the door guy, who says he'll get me in to future shows, I flirted (read: made fun of, which is the closest to flirting I get) with the bartender, and I spent my evening bopping around to music instead of watching t.v. and lamenting my friendlessness.

Hurrah!

going to shows alone is the best! if you want to just watch the band, it's cool. if you want to meet someone, you already know that you have at least one thing in common, so it's super easy.

sometimes i get mad when i've planned to go to a show by myself and then one of my friends decides to tag along. that's not very nice of me, huh.

We should've gotten together- I'm still moping about Washougal, friendless.

shows keep me sane. get out of the house, get loud, get drunk, headbang! (ok, maybe not all of you go out and headbang, but sometimes I do) what a great outlet! And yeah an excellent way to meet people and chat it up.
We're going out on Friday to see the Iron Maidens (all female tribute) and some other rock cover bands! Rock out!
